Our defense consulting

… is focused on strategically thought-out, holistic legal representation — especially in problematic cases. We research thoroughly and aim to be convincing in our presentation. We do not stop at the problems pointed out by the tax authorities but are always looking for new legal and factual points of view. We prepare opinions and scientific reports for the formation of the opinions for decisions and as a basis for procedural disputes. On request, we also provide internal advice, are available to consultants as specialists for discussions of problem cases and prepare draft briefs without appearing externally.

On this basis, new drafting considerations can be developed later. We never lose sight in our legal support in critical situations of our clients’ interest in the optimal long-term solution.

Tax-relevant civil law

Civil disputes relating to tax or accounting law are also part of our areas of expertise. These include, for example, disputes about compensation provisions in partnership agreements and the defense against professional liability claims against members of the tax advisory professions.

Furthermore, we represent you in arbitration proceedings or act as arbitrator.

In appropriate cases, we conduct mediation in disputes between shareholders.

Steuerstrafrecht

If you become the focus of the criminal prosecution authorities, we will take over your defense. Our focus is on reaching a plea bargain in the tax investigation proceedings, in particular with fines or penalties imposed by the regulatory agencies he regularl authorities and the public prosecutor’s office, in order to avoid, if possible, court and thus public criminal proceedings. If this is not possible, we will fight for your interests before the criminal courts.

In addition, we are also active in a preventive capacity in advising upon and preparing voluntary admissive tax declarations.

Tax law

We advise and represent you in ex-ternal tax audits and take part in the corresponding final meetings.

We have a great deal of experience in conducting tax appeal proceedings. We are happy to represent you in pro-ceedings before all German tax courts and the Federal Fiscal Court. In tax matters, we also will appear before the European Court of Justice and represent you in constitutional appeal proceedings before the Federal Constitutional Court.

Corporate and inheritance law

To round off our services, we also provide advice and representation in corporate and inheritance disputes. In doing so, we represent you both out-ofcourt and before the civil courts.
